Uganda Gorilla Trekking Safaris. Bwindi is among Uganda’s most exciting national parks and a place you can’t leave out while on a Ugandan safari. It is famously known as a home to a big number of Mountain gorillas basing on the world remaining population. About 750 gorillas are remaining and half of this number has its home in Bwindi. Also other primates such as chimpanzees are found here though rarely seen. This is the same story with other animal species like the forest elephants, antelopes among others. The park is located in Southwestern Uganda just near the escarpment of the Western rift Valley. The word “Bwindi” means “darkness” and when you get the opportunity of walking through this forest you have will get to know why its called such a name. The forest is gifted with a stream of water which is a beautiful place, and also waterfalls are found as you trek through impenetrable forest. Trekking doesn’t require any skills but physical fitness is always required as there are a lot of steep mountains to climb and about looking for these gentle giants. Above all there is nothing as adventurous and thrilling as going for gorilla trekking!
Day 1: Transfer to Kibale National Park Early in the morning after breakfast, leave Murchison National Park and proceed to Kibale National park. You will pass via the Lake Albert escarpments as you enjoy the good views of the park You will stopover in Hoima for your lunch and after proceed driving towards the park. ou will also pass through the traditional villages and you enjoy the vegetation cover here which is ever green. you will visit the scenic crater lakes region and get chance to check out the terraced tea states. Later on, proceed back to the lodge to relax for the evening and enjoy your dinner and overnight at Chimpanzee Forest Guest Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi wetland swamp – Uganda Gorilla safaris Early in the morning after taking breakfast, you will go to the park headquarters where you will be briefed about chimpanzee trekking. By 8:00am, you will be starting your search for the chimpanzees within the park. These primates are the closest relatives to the human being and they share 98% of their DNA with that of the human beings. There are also many other primate species which will be seen along with the chimpanzees and these include; the L’Hoest monkeys, golden monkeys,

Enjoy an early breakfast , you will be Transfered from Kampala to Klbale Forest via Fortportal and have great views with lunch en-route. ay 2: Kibale forest- Chimpanzee trekking & transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park – Uganda Gorilla Trekking Safari After breakfast on an early morning, set out with the driver guide as he will transfer you t the park head offices for briefing. After briefing, at around 8:00am start chimpanzee trekking through this rain-forest as you will be guided by the park rangers. It is always a thrilling and an unforgettable experience meeting chimpanzees face to face and watching them engage in their daily activities like playing, jumping feeding etc. Also other animals can be spotted such as the grey cheeked mangabeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, and also different birds. Later, go back to the lodge and have lunch and check out as you embark on your 3 hours journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park; home to a diverse number of wildlife. Diner and overnight at Ihamba Safari Lodge
