Nairobi to Mombasa: Lake Nakuru is one of the Rift Valley lakes at an elevation of 1,754 m above sea level. It lies to the south of Nakuru, in the rift valley of Kenya and is protected by Lake Nakuru National Park. The lake’s abundance of algae used to attract a vast quantity of flamingos that famously lined the shore. This a combination of Lake Nakuru-Naivasha- Amboseli – Taita Hills starting from Nairobi and ending in Mombasa or Diani Beach.
Day 1: Nairobi – Lake Nakuru
You will be picked from your hotel or airport for briefing then depart for Lake Nakuru arriving in time for a short game drive on route to the lodge for lunch. After lunch you will relax until 4:00pm time for an afternoon game drive until 6:30pm then back to the lodge for diner. You may spot white rhino and the rare Rothschild’s giraffe that has five horns instead of the usual three and clear instead of spotted shanks (legs). A visit to the baboon cliff offers a scenic panorama of the lake below, surrounded by a vast tract of euphorbia and acacia forest. Makalia falls within the park are an additional attraction. Dinner and overnight at the lodge or camp.
Day 2. Lake Nakuru –Amboseli
Today you will have an early morning game viewing from 6:30am to 8am then breakfast. After breakfast depart to Nairobi for lunch. After lunch you will proceed to Amboseli arrving in time for an afternoon game drive until 6:30pm. Diner and overnight at the lodge or camp
Today you will have a full day game viewing with breakfast, lunch and diner. Amboseli offers an interesting contrast in appearance. It has a somewhat dry and dusty appearance, which can be attributed to the volcanic ash that came out of Mt Kilimanjaro when it last erupted. Mt Kilimanjaro is located just about 25 miles away. Wildlife here includes the zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, impala, caracal and serval cat, lion, leopard, cheetah, buffalo, wild dog, and hippo. There are also over 400 species of birds, including the bee-eater, kingfisher, African fish eagle, marital eagle and pygmy falcon. You will also enjoy excellent views of Mt Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru.Dinner and Overnight at the lodge or camp
Day 4. Amboseli – Taita Hills – Nairobi to Mombasa
Today you will have an early morning game drive at 6:30am until 8am time for breakfast. After breakfast you will drive to Taita Hills arriving in time for lunch. After lunch you will relax until 4pm time for an afternoon game drive until 6:30pm then back to the lodge for diner.Taita Hills Game Reserve is on the side of Tsavo West, It is managed privately by Sarova hotels. it is located at 210 km from Mombasa and one of the best game parks in Kenya. The reserve contains some fantastic terrain, including rivers, tarns, glaciers, and peaks with a wide variety of vegetation, including grasslands, acacia vegetation, open plains and savanna. You can view a variety of animals at the park, including elephant, lion, leopard, water-buck, kudu, gerenuk, zebra. There are also about 500 species of birds, including the ostrich, and migratory birds like kestrels and buzzards. Dinner and overnight at Saltlick lodge
Day 5. Taita Hills – Mombasa
Today you will have an early morning game drive from 6:30am until 8:00am time for breakfast. After breakfast you will have game drive on route to the park gate then drive to Mombasa with lunch on the way. Arrive Mombasa or Diani Beach in the evening. You will be dropped off at the hotel of your choice.
