Nairobi Safari: Crowned by Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, the Amboseli National Parks is one of Kenya’s most popular parks. The name “Amboseli” comes from a Maasai word meaning “salty dust”, and it is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close. Nature lovers can explore five different habitats here ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with sulphur springs, the savannah and woodlands.
They can also visit the local Maasai community who live around the park and experience their authentic culture. Amboseli National Park is in southern Kenya. It’s known for its large elephant herds and views of immense Mount Kilimanjaro, across the border in Tanzania.
Observation Hill offers panoramas of the peak and the park’s plains and swamps. Varied wildlife includes giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, Elephants, Buffaloes, Hippos and hundreds of bird species. The western section is dominated by vast Lake Amboseli, which is dry outside the rainy season
You will be met at the airport or from your hotel by our driver/guide for a safari briefing then drive to Chyulu Hills arriving in time for lunch at your lodge. After lunch, you will relax until 4pm time for an afternoon depart for game viewing either on horseback or by a 4×4 jeep till evening.
Chyulu Hills are considered to be some of the youngest volcanic mountains in the world. They are mainly of volcanic origin bordered by an expanse of black lava flow known as “Shetani”. The park is a paradise of elephant herds, plains game, cheetah, remote Maasai villages and the spectacular view of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
The park has no permanent surface water but rainfall percolating through the porous rock feeds many permanent fresh water sources in the surrounding plains. Some major attractions found in this park include breathtaking views of Mt. Kilimanjaro from the Chyulu Hills, cave walking and exploration and camping.

After breakfast, you will spend the morning hours walking in the company of an armed ranger and our safari guide, visiting some spectacular attractions such as the lava flow, enjoy guided walks in the open plains.
Chyulu Hills National Park is situated on the Northwest of Tsavo West National Park.
It is made up of volcanic cinder cones that formed millions of years ago. The cones form spectacular caves are home to the world’s longest lava tube, the leviathan. These lava rocks are porous and therefore they keep the surrounding areas abundant with fresh water for use by wild animals. . Visitors can also be able to take part in cave exploration trips, Horse back riding and many more activities, Diner and overnight at Oldonyo Lodge
Day 3. Chyulu Hills – Tsavo West – Nairobi Safari
Today you will have an early in the morning breakfast then drive to Tsavo west for a mid morning game drive. Lunch will be at the lodge, After lunch you will relax until 4pm time for an afternoon game drive until 6pm, You will enjoy exploring the Chaimu volcanic crater and the Mzima springs.
Animals include the leopard, cheetah, buffalo, rhino, elephant, giraffe, zebra, lion, crocodile, mongoose, hyrax, dikdik and porcupine. The Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary is another safe haven for rhinos. Finally, the park offers excellent views of Mount Kilimanjaro as well. Diner and Overnight at the Severin safari camp
Early morning game drive at 6:30am followed by a breakfast at 8:00am. After breakfast drive to Mzima Springs, a water pool where you can view crocodiles, hippos and fish from this fresh water springs from the slopes of Mt.Kilimanjaro. After the Mzima springs tour you will have game drive en-route to Amboseli, arriving in time for lunch. After lunch you will relax until 4pm time for an afternoon game drive until 6:30pm,
Amboseli offers an interesting contrast in appearance. Wildlife here includes the zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, impala, caracal and serval cat, lion, leopard, cheetah, buffalo, wild dog, and hippo. There are also over 400 species of birds, including the bee-eater, kingfisher, African fish eagle, marital eagle and pygmy falcon. You will also enjoy excellent views of Mt Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru.Dinner and Overnight at Amboseli Serena lodge or Oltukai lodge
Today you will have an early morning game drive from 6:30am followed by a breakfast at 8:00am. After breakfast you will check out of the lodge and drive to Nairobi. Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon. drop off at the airport or at the hotel of your choice.
