Kenya Safaris: This safari features the open plains of the Masai Mara famous for its annual migration of Wildebeest and Zebras. Maasai Mara National Reserve is an area of preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border. Its animals include lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and hippos. Wildebeest traverse its plains during their annual migration. The landscape has grassy plains and rolling hills, and is crossed by the Mara and Talek rivers. The area nearby is dotted with villages. The waters of Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha a home to millions of lesser and greater Flamingos and the crescent island. Amboseli game viewing with Mount Kilimanjaro backdrop.

Itinerary

Day 1 Nairobi to Samburu - Kenya Safaris

Your tour starts with pick up at 7:00 AM from your Nairobi hotel or Airport and drive to Samburu. This drive will take about 6 to 7 hours with diverse views ranging from the raw country side, the central highlands of Kenya, the equator line and views of Mt Kenya. Arrive in Samburu by lunch time and check into your lodge/camp, have a hot lunch and then depart for an afternoon game drive. After the game drive, we head back to lodge/camp to reach by around 5:30 or 6:00 PM, freshen up and enjoy a freshly prepared Dinner. Overnight at your lodge.

Day 2Samburu - Kenya Safaris

We depart at 6:30 AM after breakfast on an early morning game drive (This is the best time to see the animals and a good chance to witness a hunt/kill). Later around 10:30 AM, return to accommodation for a break and relax for a bit and after lunch, depart on an afternoon game drive around 3:00 PM till around 6:00 PM. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3Samburu to Lake Nakuru - Kenya Safaris

Start your day early with morning game drives by 6.30 am followed by breakfast, check out and proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park which is about 5.5 to 6 hours drive from Samburu. Upon reaching Nakuru lodge check in then lunch. After lunch you will relax until 4pm time for an afternoon game drive until 6:30pm. Diner and overnight at Lake Nakuru lodge or similar. 

Day 4 Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara - Kenya Safaris

Today you will have an early morning breakfast then depart for Masai Mara Game Reserve. Through the Great Rift Valley. On arrival at Masai Mara you will proceed to the lodge for lunch. After lunch you will relax until 4:00pm then embark on the afternoon game drive until 6:30pm. You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephant.

It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place the annual wildebeests’ migration from early July to September each year, following on their heels are the predators of the savanna- lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vultures. Dinner and overnight at the lodge or camp

Day 5 Masai Mara - Kenya Safaris

Today you will have a full day game drive in the park with packed lunch. All the big five may be seen namely elephant, buffalo and lion; the sighting of rhino and leopard which make the total five cannot be guaranteed as they are few in number, very shy and elusive. Diner and overnight at Mara Serena Lodge

Masai Mara - Kenya Safaris

Today’s itinerary is flexible and you can discuss with your guide on the previous evening and plan for today’s schedule. You can either have a relaxed breakfast and depart for full day game drives around 9:00 AM with packed lunch and return back to lodge late afternoon around 6:00pm. Or you can depart at 6:00 AM on an early morning game drive (This is the best time to see the animals and a good chance to witness hunt/kill). Later return to accommodation for breakfast and relax for a bit and depart on an afternoon game drive with packed lunch. you will stop at a picnic spot for having packed lunch and later depart on a game drive till the park is closed. Around 6:00 PM return to lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Masai Mara - Lake Naivasha -Kenya Safaris

After breakfast checkout and Depart to Lake Naivasha which is about 5 hours drive. Check-in to your camp/lodge and then proceed for lunch. After lunch spend the day at the lake shores or take  a boat trip to the crescent island. Diner and overnight at the lodge

Lake Naivasha - Amboseli - Kenya Safaris

After an early breakfast, you will pack your luggage and drive to Amboseli National Park through Kimana gate. Arrive in time for lunch  at the lodge. After lunch you will relax until 4:00pm time for an afternoon game drive until 6:00pm.

Amboseli offers an interesting contrast in appearance. It has a somewhat dry and dusty appearance, which can be attributed to the volcanic ash that came out of Mt Kilimanjaro when it last erupted. Mt Kilimanjaro is located just about 25 miles away. The park was opened to visitors in April 1948. Visitors mainly come to watch the huge herds of elephants. There are about 900 elephants in the park. Wildlife here includes the zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, impala, caracal and serval cat, lion, leopard, cheetah, buffalo, wild dog, and hippos. There are also over 400 species of birds, including the bee-eater, kingfisher, African fish eagle, marital eagle and pygmy falcon. You will also enjoy excellent views of Mt Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru. Diner and overnight at Kilima Amboseli Camp

Amboseli - Nairobi - Kenya Safaris

Today you will leave Amboseli after breakfast and drive to Nairobi with lunch on route. On arrival you will be dropped off at the airport or the hotel of your choice.
